Today, he regaled us with stories of using moss to make green dye. Off we went in search of moss for the picking....

I can't wait to see how our experiment turns out. The munckins keep remarking on the softness of the moss. I explained to them that some of the best outdoor beds are made with an underlayer or underlining of moss. Moss can also be used to stuff between logs, planks, or twings to insulate a house or hut and keep it warm in the winter.
